Full Time Infant/Toddler Teacher's Needed!

 

We are seeking a full-time Infant Teacher to join our amazing team at Mesa Verde Preschool & Infant Center. This individual must be excited, passionate, energetic, nurturing and dedicated to teaching young minds through play.  If you enjoy working with children and are willing to be a part of a great team, then this may be the place for you.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ Early Childhood Education College Units including:

    • 3 Additional Units in infant/toddler

  • LiveScan Fingerprint clearance and background check - DOJ/FBI/Child Abuse Index.

  • Health Screening.

  • Proof of immunity to Measles or MMR Vaccination Record, Pertussis & Covid.

  • Clear TB test or Chest X-ray within last 4 years (and every 4 years thereafter).

  • Pediatric CPR/FIRST AID Certified.

  • Current certificate – Mandated Reporter

  • Creative, patient, has positive attitude, reliable & responsible.

  • Flexible and has a “team mentality” attitude.

  • Able to twist, turn, stoop & lift children / equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities:

  • Under general administrative supervision, provides a caring, responsive environment in a team setting, by meeting the individual needs of each infant and family.

  • Maintain daily records of Infant/Toddler.

  • Create, implement and evaluate an engaging, age-appropriate emergent curriculum for children.

  • Participates in MVP staff development days and regular staff meetings.

  • Belief that play can be cognitively-rich.

  • Candidate must be comfortable working with others and able to communicate effectively with parents, both in person and in writing.

  • Desire to support early childhood social, emotional and cognitive development.

  • Exceptional organization and planning skills.

  • Committed to collaborating and working as part of a co-teaching team and a larger early childhood team.

  • This position requires a schedule of 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
